Work Team Application
Short-term service work teams are vital to the growth and sustainability of Kingdom Air Corps. Larger-scale building projects and skilled labor needs are often met through work teams. If you are not the leader or participant of a church-led work team, please fill out the volunteer application instead. Church work team leaders and participants should read through the information below before applying to ensure everyone understands the nature and expectations of a work team.
The application will be available at the end of this required reading.
Work Team Applicant’s Christian Life Guidelines…
- A growing maturity and knowledge of God’s Word through personal Bible study.
- Devotions and biblical instruction will be in accordance with the doctrinal statement of KAC. Please be sure you read over this statement on our website and agree with its statements. Volunteers are not permitted to propagate any views that conflict with the doctrinal statement of KAC.
- Plan to attend a local church with other KAC staff and volunteers if your service overlaps a Sunday.
Life at KAC - Summer
- Our summer flight training season runs from mid-May to mid-September.
- Summer is our primary flight training season with the most people on site and when the bulk of our training occurs. With students, instructors, and volunteer work teams on-site, King Ranch is a busy place.
Life at KAC - Summer Cont.
- We have a dining hall where you will enjoy three home cooked meals a day provided by a few of our many volunteers.
- Expect to help staff and volunteers with dishes and cleaning up the dining hall after meals each day. Many hands make light work.
- We don’t have the capability to prepare meals for special restrictions. If you require special food, please be in contact with us so we can help you come up with a solution.
Life at KAC - Summer Cont.
- Because of our “communal living” environment that surrounds an active runway, safety is of utmost concern. For these reasons, KAC has a “no pets/animals” policy. Please understand this and make other arrangements for your pets if needed.
- Bedding is provided (sheets, blankets, pillows).
- You may bring your own camper for your family to stay in. You must inquire beforehand, as camper spaces are limited.
Life at KAC - Summer Cont.
- Laundry facilities are provided, including laundry detergent.
- Shower facilities are provided with towels and washcloths. Bring your own toiletries.
- WiFi internet access is available in most buildings. Cell service is limited depending on your carrier. (AT&T works well, Verizon does not)
Life at KAC - Summer Cont.
- KAC has a limited number of vehicles available for volunteers, over the age of 21, to borrow while they are here. They are available by sign-out on a first come, first serve basis. Please understand, there may not be a vehicle available when you want one. Be prepared to adjust your plans and be flexible.
- If you borrow a vehicle, please return it full of fuel, clean inside and out, and consider donating toward the cost of maintenance and insurance.
- Each day begins with devotions after breakfast. Topics vary from a message from God’s Word to personal testimonies of staff, students or visiting missionaries that work in various places around the world.
Work Team-specific Guidelines
- Work Teams are housed in dorm style housing. When available, we will do our best to put married couples in couples housing, but it is not always possible. Please understand that you may be split up during your stay on the work team.
- We have a 10-team-member maximum due to housing and transportation considerations.
- It is important to follow the guidance and direction of our Facilities Director and Work Team Coordinator.
- When it is time to clean a worksite, please be willing to jump in. Just like our dining hall, many hands make light work. We also like to say, “Leave it better than you found it.”
